National Youth Forum : A strong nation is built with youth power – MLA Patel

400 Rovers, Rangers from nine states gathered in National Youth Forum, Organized by The Bharat Scouts and Guides

Korba, 27th June : National Youth Forum was inaugurated in Korba on Wednesday. Rovers, Rangers from nine states of scouting are participating in it. Chief guest Katghora MLA Premchand Patel while addressing the inaugural ceremony said that a strong nation is built with youth power.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi is organizing National Youth Forum from June 26 to 30 at Educational Hub located at Syahimudi. Four hundred Rovers, Rangers (youth) and staff from nine states of scouting Goa, Odisha, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Southern Railway Chennai, South Eastern Railway West Bengal, Eastern Railway Kolkata, North Frontier Railway Assam are participating in it. National Youth Forum is being hosted by The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Korba, Chhattisgarh. Preparations for the National Youth Forum have been made under the guidance of Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister and Korba in-charge Minister Shri Arun Sao and under the guidance of State Chief Commissioner Dr. Somnath Yadav.

On Wednesday, the National Youth Forum was formally inaugurated with flag hoisting in the presence of Assistant Director (Central & Western Region) and Leader of Course Ms. Shivangi Saxena. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Chief Guest MLA Shri Patel said that such events help us learn and develop ourselves. He said that it is because of youth power that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dreamt of a developed India.

Presiding over the ceremony, State Chief Commissioner of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh, Dr. Somnath Yadav highlighted the scouting values. He informed that an initiative has been taken to start Rover and Ranger units in government and private universities operating in Chhattisgarh. Special guest Jila Panchayat, Korba CEO Sambit Mishra congratulated the youth and said that the activities of the National Youth Forum will play an important role in career building.

General Manager, Administration, ACB India Limited, Captain AK Singh also addressed the gathering. Assistant Director (Central & Western Region) and Leader of Course of The Bharat Scouts and Guides Ms. Shivangi Saxena gave the welcome address and spoke about the National Youth Forum. District Education Officer and District Commissioner (scout) Tameshwar Upadhyay, Principals Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Vivek Lande were also present on the stage. The inaugural ceremony was conducted by State Coordinator (Membership Growth) and District Chief Commissioner Mohammed Sadique Sheikh.
