Korba: Inauguration of the country’s first Cub Bulbul and Scout Guide unit for special needs children’s

Korba, 16th November 2024 : On Saturday, the country’s first Cub Bulbul and Scout Guide unit for children’s with special needs was inaugurated in Korba. The State Chief Commissioner Dr. Somnath Yadav of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh, formally announced the start of the unit.

All 103 children’s with special needs of Divya Jyoti special Vidyalaya, run by Inner Wheel Education Society, have been directly linked to the Scout movement. Here, Cub Bulbul and Scout Guide teams have been formed and their registration has been done in the online youth management system (OYMS) and UID has been generated. The Cub Bulbul and Scout Guide unit of 103 children’s with special needs is the country’s first unit. A one-day Cub Bulbul festival was organized along with the inauguration program organized at Divya Jyoti special Vidyalaya.

Dr. Somnath Yadav, State Chief Commissioner of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh, who was present as the chief guest, said that today has become an unforgettable day for scouting in Chhattisgarh. He welcomed 103 children’s with special needs into the Scout movement and said that a new chapter is also being started from today. Dr. Yadav also announced to organize a special camp for these special children’s.

Newly appointed State Commissioner of The Bharat Scouts and Guides and Joint Collector, Korba Kaushal Prasad Tendulkar, while presiding over the program, said that connecting special children’s with scouting is a new achievement. He said that the activities of Scout Guide will be further expanded in Korba. District Education Officer and District Commissioner (Scout) Tameshwar Upadhyay said that today we are feeling proud. Special children’s are endowed with talents like any normal children’s. Principal of Divya Jyoti Sansthan, Rita Khetrapal expressed gratitude for connecting special children’s with scouting. District Chief Commissioner Mohammed Sadique Sheikh gave information about the action plan to include children’s with special needs in scouting. District Commissioner (Guide) Dr. Farhana Ali, District Commissioner (Rover) Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Senior Advocate Madhu Pandey were also present on the stage in the program.

District Secretary Bharat Singh Verma gave the welcome address. The program was conducted by DOC (Scout) Digamber Singh Kaushik. District Joint Secretary Rekha Rani Lal expressed gratitude. DTC (Guide) Ganeshi Sonkar, Lady Cub Master Koyna Singh of Divya Jyoti special Vidyalaya, Chetna Singh, DOC (Guide) Janjgir Champa Uttara Manikpuri, Block Secretary Kartala Mrigesh Patel, Block Secretary Katghora Pritam Lal Rajwada, Block Secretary Pali Bhagirathi Shrivas, Joint Block Secretary Dinesh Patre, Assistant Secretary Kartala Devendra Pratap Singh Gautam, Joint Secretary Korba Namita Shyam Kunwar Kadve Assistant Secretary Nohar Chandra, along with other Scouts Guides and Rovers Rangers were present in the program.

Guests welcomed with Bulbul Greeting and Cub Vishal Garjana

The guests who arrived at the program were welcomed with Bulbul greeting and Cub Vishal Garjana under the leadership of flock leader Namita Kadve. cub and Bulbul of Government Primary School Kachandi, Bhatgaon, Gadhkatra, Bhatapara, Beacon School Kusmunda also participated in the one-day cub Bulbul festival. Children’s with special needs presented cultural programs. Children’s with special needs were given cub Bulbul uniforms by the guests.
