The AIIMS Raipur proudly announces the inauguration of its groundbreaking Biomedical Innovation and Incubation Centre, SRIJAN (Scientific Research & Innovation Junction for AI and New Biomedical Technologies) on 14 Sep 2024. SRIJAN is designed to become a cradle of innovation, fostering new ideas and breakthrough technologies within the healthcare sector.
The Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Raipur, Lt Gen Ashok Jindal (Retd) at the inauguration said “SRIJAN represents our commitment to fostering a culture of innovation in healthcare, aiming to advance patient care and medical education, ultimately benefiting the community at large.”
SRIJAN was led by Prof (Dr) Debendra Kumar Tripathy, (HoD, Trauma & Emergency), and the team included diverse faculty members such as Prof (Dr) Ekta Khandelwal (Physiology), Prof (Dr) Pushpawati Thakur (Obstetrics & Gynecology), Dr Jaydeep Nandi (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation), Dr Alok Singh (Pharmacology), and Dr Naman Agrawal (Emergency Medicine).
With SRIJAN, AIIMS Raipur strengthened its position as a leader in the medical fraternity, demonstrating a commitment to innovation, research, and the highest quality of patient care. In the coming months, the center is set to undertake a wide array of projects integrating Artificial Intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies with biomedical science.
