Scout Guide officials met Chief Minister Sai regarding National Jamboree
Chief Minister was led by Member of Parliament and President of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh Brijmohan Agarwal.
Raipur, 19 September : Officials of The Bharat Scouts and Guides National and State Headquarters met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu deo Sai.
Discussions were held with the Chief Minister regarding the organization of the closing ceremony of the proposed 19th National Jamboree, First World Guide Jamboree and Diamond Jubilee Jamboree. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai was presented with a symbolic Scout scarf, a coffee table book titled What is Scouting and a report of the 18th National Jamboree. The meeting with the Chief Minister was led by Member of Parliament and President of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh Brijmohan Agarwal.
Chief National Commissioner of The Bharat Scouts and Guides Dr. KK Khandelwal apprised Chief Minister Vishnu deo Sai about the activities of scouting and gave information about the 19th National Jamboree, First World Guide Jamboree and Diamond Jubilee Jamboree. The CM was briefed on the national and international activities of the Scouts and Guides, especially the work done in Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister showed keen interest in the contributions made by the Scouts and Guides and appreciated their exceptional service work, especially during the Corona pandemic. In his work and conduct like a true Scout, Vishnu DeO Sai has shown his firm commitment to the development of tribal youth in particular. Recognizing the invaluable role played by the Scouts and Guides in shaping the future of the youth of the nation, the Chief Minister gladly agreed to host the Diamond Jubilee, 19th National Jamboree and the 1st World Jamboree of the Girl Guides in Chhattisgarh.
Brijmohan Agrawal and the delegation expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister on behalf of the scouting community. This prestigious event will provide a unique opportunity to the youth of Chhattisgarh to interact, exchange ideas and network with scouts from the country and abroad. Also, this jamboree will become an important platform to showcase the progress and rich cultural heritage of the state.
The Bharat Scouts and Guides has more than 65 lakh members and this organization has been playing an important role in shaping the moral and leadership qualities of the youth of the country. State Chief Commissioner Dr. Somnath Yadav thanked the Chief Minister for this goodwill.
During this, Joint Director of Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters Amar Chettri, Executive President of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh Rajesh Agarwal, State Chief Commissioner Dr. Somnath Yadav, State Treasurer Murali Sharma, National Commissioner (Headquarters) G. Swami, State Secretary Kailash Soni and other officials were present.
